Welcome to South Shropshire Housing Association.
We build, re-develop and maintain good quality homes that people want to live in, with rents that people can afford to pay.
We are the largest provider of social housing in the area, a major employer and a key player in local partnerships and rural regeneration.
We currently own and manage over 2000 properties in and around South Shropshire and we are also building approximately 50 new homes every year.
In addition to managing and improving our homes, SSHA also runs a foyer for young people, a refuge for women escaping domestic violence, sheltered schemes for older people and mobile support services for vulnerable adults.
Our History
South Shropshire Housing Association was formed in the early 1990s taking gradual ownership of homes from South Shropshire District Council alongside the development of new homes.
In 2007, SSHA formed the Shropshire Housing Group with Meres and Mosses Housing Association, Total Response Ltd, a property maintenance company and Shropshire Housing Ltd who provide the shared services to all members of the group.
