In our area we have suffered over many years from a declining agricultural economy with limited inward investment. This has meant that local people have fewer opportunities and in the main those that do exist offer lower than average wages.

We believe that SSHA is uniquely placed to do something about this. Our Regeneration and Community Development officer, Helen Vaughan helps to ensure SSHA contributes to regeneration and community development activities throughout South Shropshire.

Helen works closely with community members and voluntary and statutory organisations delivering regeneration projects throughout South Shropshire.

Helen is part of the SSHA Regeneration and Development Team which is led by Helen Pugh, SSHA work with local communities to identify regeneration opportunities when new homes are developed.
