What We Do

We maintain a list of people waiting to be housed
Our Neighbourhood Services department maintains the housing register on behalf of South Shropshire District Council. Anyone can apply for housing by filling in an application form which is available from reception or by ringing the main switchboard number.

We allocate homes
We are also responsible for the allocation of properties, which is at present based on a Choice Based lettings system which places applicants into bands according to their housing needs. All available properties are then advertising fortnightly and applicants place a bid against the homes they are interested in.

We offer support
Our team of Housing Support Officers provide dedicated help and support for any eligible adult living in South Shropshire who requires extra help and advice to maintain their tenancy. They also provide resettlement support for people moving from temporary accommodation into permanent housing.

Homelessness
We carry out homelessness assessments and offer housing aid and advice on behalf of South Shropshire District Council.

Housing Services for Older People
We have 300 homes within 13 Sheltered housing Schemes and we have specialist Sheltered Housing Officers who offer valuable support to older people including those not in Sheltered Housing.

Ludlow Foyer
The first of its kind in Shropshire, this project includes low cost rented flats for fifteen young people (aged 16-25) who are starting training or a job.

Women’s Refuge
We have opened a refuge in South Shropshire for women and children experiencing domestic violence.
